These are links to sites I like.  The fact that they are all by friends of mine is merely a fluke!

Legend has it that the original idea for the Weblog was Chris's but it was Gaby who coded it.  At any rate, both the idea and the code are brilliant.  It is a bulletin board for SMS text messages from mobile phones.

This site is a good example of a MySQL database backed website with PHP pages, and running on Apache server software.

This website is almost all Java!  That is to say, it is composed of HTML pages and almost all of the pages have Java applets doing some interesting, if purely decorative, thing.  The Mandelbrot set explorer, a Java fountain & Kaleidoscope, are some of the things there.

An interesting thing about this site is that it very well disguises the fact that the pages are simply HTML.  Web designer's tricks were used to bend HTML to serve style more than content.
